Some days, in order to gain perspective of gratefulness, I take time to focus on things that make me happy. I’ve been working hard to practice this over the last year and can honestly say it’s changed my perspective of life!
When God brought Avon into my life, I experienced a lot of resistance. Although I was confident the voice I heard behind me say, “You should sell this” was God, I couldn’t see how I would be able to do it while supporting my husband with his business and balancing my family responsibilities with working a full-time job. Plus I had done direct sales before and knew I didn’t want to do it again. But every time I thought of giving it up, I prayed and remembered what God had said to me years prior about challenge. He said, “If you don’t face up to challenge, you will never reach your expected end.” I would also remember what my dear friend and sister from another mister told me. She said, “Toni (that’s what she call me) you don’t have to be making money at it. You just have to be doing it.” Eleven (11) years later, I’m so glad God used her to speak these words to me and more importantly that I obeyed God and signed up to become an Avon Representative. Today, it’s more than a side hustle. It’s the platform I use to give back by donating 100% of my commission to Everybody Wins Atlanta where I serve as a reading mentor. It’s served as the means for schools and churches to conduct fundraisers. So when you buy from me, not only are you supporting a small business, but you’re changing the trajectory of children’s lives.
