There’s Something I Want To Tell You

I hope your new year has gotten off to a great start! It’s hard to believe it’s already 2019!

I read a lot (that’s not what I want to tell you by the way). What I’ve observed is people using catchy titles like I did to engage their readers. They choose words that entice you to want to know more. They repeat this technique until the very end and then tell you whatever it is they want you to know. Raise your hand if you know what I’m talking about? Well, I’m not going to do that. Why? Because I’m different, and what sets me apart is I try really hard to treat people the way I want to be treated. And, I’m direct. I prefer to get to the point quickly. So here’s what I want to tell you. . . .

I label myself an introvert. I chose the word ‘label’ because my family, coworkers and friends tell me I’m not. Despite what other people say, I know it’s true so I ask myself how can I be more of an extrovert. More sociable. As an introvert?  Where everything happens on the inside? Well lo and behold the answers were things I’m already doing.  Here they are.  4 things that I do to be more sociable:

• Be intentional. In other words do things with a specific purpose in mind. 
• Keep a notepad on my desk with the names of people I will connect with.
• Connect with new fans on Facebook by sending them an exclusive offer like FREE shipping on orders of $25 or more.
• Practice

Let me expand on the last one–Practice.  There are plenty of opportunities for me to practice being sociable as an Avon Rep such as standing in line to vote #mycurrentsituation, sharing my Online Store and brochure, using the Power of 3 regularly to gain new customers, commenting on other people’s Facebook posts and networking. Networking. This is so important, yet underrated and frankly one of the strategies I’m using to build my Avon business presence online.
